The Third Annual Conference on Native American Nutrition brought together tribal officials, researchers, practitioners, and others to discuss the current state of Indigenous and academic scientific knowledge about Native nutrition and food science, and identify new areas of work.

Since the inaugural conference in 2016, this conference series has received an overwhelming response. This 2018 conference welcomed more than 600 people from 38 states, three countries, and dozens of different tribes attended the conference. Fifty-six percent of the conference participants were Native.
