September 15 - 18, 2019

This is the only conference series in the world devoted to the food and nutrition of Indigenous Peoples. The Fourth Annual Conference on Native American Nutrition brought together tribal officials, researchers, practitioners, funders and others to discuss the current state of Indigenous and academic scientific knowledge about Native nutrition, dietary health, and food science, and identify new areas of work.

The event has held in conjunction with the Native American Journalists Association’s annual National Native Media Conference. Attendees of the conferences had the opportunity to attend programming of each conference and network with each other at shared meals and receptions.

More than 500 people from more than 30 states, three countries and dozens of different tribes came together for this nutrition conference. We were honored to host so many individuals working toward a common goal of improving the health of Indian Country.
