September 18 - 20, 2017

The Second Annual Conference on Native American Nutrition brought together tribal officials, researchers, practitioners, and others to discuss the current state of Indigenous and academic scientific knowledge about Native nutrition and food science, and identify new areas of work.

Since the inaugural conference in 2016, this conference series has received an overwhelming response. This year, more than 500 people from 37 states, four countries, and more than 50 different tribes attended the conference. Fifty-eight percent of the conference participants were Native.
